Privacy Policy

1. What we store

Server configuration

• Server ID, trap channel ID and log channel ID
• Punishment settings, whitelisted users and roles
• Feature configuration: auto-roles, sticky messages, auto-react, media-only channels, scheduled slowmode, voice presence
• Premium status and expiry, where applicable

Statistics

• Counts of detections and punishments per server
• Command usage counts
• Member counts, used for the public statistics on this site

Temporary, feature-specific data

• Reminders — your reminder text, until it is delivered
• Giveaways — prize, entrants and winners, until the giveaway ends
• Sticky messages — the text you configured, until you remove it
• Snipe — the most recent deleted or edited message in a channel, held in memory only and discarded on restart or after 30 minutes
• Temporary roles and channel states — until they expire

2. What we do not store

• Message content. Traply does not log, scan or retain your conversations. The honeypot detects where a message was posted, not what it said.
• Direct messages, except commands you run with the bot directly.
• Attachments, images or files. Nothing is downloaded or retained.
• Voice audio. The 24/7 voice presence feature is presence only — no audio is played, received or recorded.
• Payment details. Premium payments are handled by third-party providers; we never see or store card details.

3. Why we store it

Solely to make the bot work: to remember your configuration between restarts, to run scheduled features reliably, and to show you your own statistics. Nothing is used for advertising or profiling.

4. Who can see it

• Nobody outside the project. Data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties.
• Aggregate, non-identifying totals — such as total servers and members — are shown publicly on this website and in the bot.
• The developer can access configuration data where necessary to investigate a bug or support request.

5. Where it is stored

Data is held in a MongoDB database with access restricted to the bot and the developer. Connections are encrypted in transit.

6. Retention and deletion

• Remove the bot and its configuration becomes inactive immediately.
• Run /trap reset to delete your trap configuration and statistics at any time.
• Request full deletion by opening a ticket or emailing traplysupport@gmail.com with your server ID. Data is removed within 30 days.
• Temporary data — reminders, snipes, expired timers — is deleted automatically once no longer needed.

7. Children

Traply is not directed at anyone below Discord’s minimum age for their country. We do not knowingly collect data from such users.

8. Third-party services

• Discord — Traply operates on Discord’s platform and is subject to their Privacy Policy.
• Top.gg — used for vote verification. Only your Discord user ID and whether you voted are exchanged.
• Netlify — hosts this website. Standard web server logs apply.

9. Changes

Material changes are announced in the support server.
