Every other anti-scam bot reads your messages to find bad content — which means false positives, and a bot that sees everything your members say. Traply reads nothing. The honeypot identifies the account by where it posted, never by what it wrote. Zero false positives by design, not by tuning.

Give Traply its own avatar, banner, bio and name in your server only. It uses Discord’s native per-server profile API — not a webhook impersonating the bot, and not a second custom bot you have to host. Everywhere else Traply stays completely default.

Most bots hold temporary roles, giveaways and scheduled locks in memory, so a restart quietly loses them. Every Traply timer is written to the database and re-armed on boot, with a periodic sweep catching anything missed. A 30-day temp role still expires on time after twenty restarts.

Most bots “voice ban” by assigning a muted role, which vanishes the moment someone leaves and rejoins. Traply writes a Connect denial into every voice channel and disconnects the target immediately — so rejoining or waiting it out does not work.

Sticky messages are debounced, so a busy channel gets one repost instead of hitting the rate limit, with a trailing repost once chat settles. Role-on-post checks cached roles first, so a member who already has the role costs zero API calls however much they post.

Most bots only react once someone is already inside. Age gate rejects accounts younger than a limit you set, and pre-ban blocks known raiders before they ever join — up to 200 IDs in a single command, with reasons attached. The cheapest threat to handle is the one that never gets in.

Most bots offer “delete the last N messages” and stop there. Traply adds eight targeted filters — by user, by bots, and by stickers, embeds, attachments, links or invites. Clearing a raid’s image spam without wiping the conversation around it takes one command.

Some commands are owner-only for good reason — assigning roles with dangerous permissions, bypassing hierarchy, mass-unbanning. Extra owners let you grant that authority to named staff without giving up your Discord account. They gain the power, but not immunity: unlike you, a compromised extra owner can still be removed.

Plenty of bots paywall their lockdown commands. Staged lockdown, server-wide lock and unlock are free and always will be. The middle of an attack is the worst possible moment to meet a payment prompt.

Most bots with "backup" dump data you can never put back properly — positions drift, overwrites go missing, members lose roles. Traply snapshots replay exact role positions, channel order, permission overwrites and member roles, preview the plan with dry-run, adopt instead of duplicating on re-runs, and repair old duplicates automatically.
